The Future Of Nanotechnology Is Very Bright

The future seems to be extremely bright and prospective for nanotechnology. In today¡¦s world where small is style and efficiency in all gadgets from televisions to mobile phones, nanotechnology¡¦s spirit of ¡§smaller and faster¡¨ has caught the attention of experts in the scientific field.

Nanotechnology deals with construction and research in spheres of extremely small structures. Nanometer is just about one millionth of a millimeter. The diameter of one human hair itself is fifty thousand times more than this measure. This explains the small factor of nanotechnology. The application of nanotechnology is extremely immense in the future and has proved to be a visionary concept for all those who have understood its essence.

Nanotechnology deals with research and analysis of various materials and articles which are bonded by the fact that their sizes range from one to one hundred nanometers. Nanotechnology uses the special features of these materials. The truth is that the various physical, chemical, magnetic and electric characteristics of these objects do not rely entirely on the actual material alone but also on their sizes to a large extent.

Nanotechnology tries to form a basis for developing extremely small memory storage space with an increasingly high memory capacity. This technology may be used in efficient filters used for sewage treatment, in materials used to create ultra-light weight engines and accessories in automobiles, in artificial joints better suited for human body due to its nano-surfaces etc.

Currently nanotechnology is widely used in manufacture of nano-structures in chips as well as new hard drives. In future there is a much wider scope for the technology. For instance many industries in Germany such as automobile, pharma, information technology and chemical and optical industries require the development of what is called nanocosmos. Thus the future enhancement of these industries would depend heavily on nanotechnology.

Germany has been the pioneer with an edge in nanotechnology knowledge and it has already developed a number of initiatives for further developments. Innovations with great economic advantages to boost growth and employment have been made in the form of Nanomobil in the automobile, NanoLux in the optical, NanoFab in electronics and Nano for life in life sciences industries. In order to further develop the usage of nanotechnology in these industries, the Government has funded a number of research projects in the subject.
